Employee Background
The Wolfkatz Corporation was formed as a collaborative project by a small group
of college friends. We first met while in engineering school at the University of
California at San Diego while working on the Formula SAE project. A few of us are now
proud owners of second generation (1991-1995) Toyota MR2 Turbo cars and have decided to
take our love for the car and combine it with our engineering skills. This lead us to our
first product, a high flow side feed fuel rail for the Toyota 3SGTE engine. Currently our company has
grown to include product development for other vehicles as well as a wide range of consulting capabilities
We are a seasoned group of individuals, primarily mechanical engineers by trade, who have amassed many
years of real world experience. We are able to work with a variety of mediums, such as metal, plastic, and composites,
such as carbon fiber. We are also proficient in the use of computer aided modeling and design. Additionally, we are well
versed in in-depth failure analysis and modeling of any structure (Finite Element Analysis).
All these factors combine to ensure that any product WolfKatz brings to market is extremely well
designed, implemented and tested.
Who We Are
The president of WolfKatz Engineering LLC is Garrett Katzenstein, a Mechanical Design Engineer with an MBA currently working as
a contract consultant with various engineering firms and universities in the Pasadena, CA area. Current clients include California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Bell Solid
State Thermoelectrics (BSST), K+N Engineering, and others. In his day to day work, Garrett has acquired a wide variety of design, analysis and construction skill
sets that allow him to create almost anything. Every product that WolfKatz sells is personally tested by Garrett in his own vehicle
(when applicable) before it is offered to the public. Garrett feels that it would be hypocritical for him to sell things he does
not believe in enough to use himself. With the recent completion of his MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship, Garrett can provide a unique
outlook on a wide variety of product development and business problems as well. To view Garrett's resume click here.
Our Chief Technical advisor is Julie Wolf. Julie holds BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC San Diego, a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering from Caltech
and is nearly finished with her PhD from the same institution. She has a wide range of work experience including work as an aerospace engineer and a bridge design engineer.
If the problem is tough, she is the one who can solve it! To view Julie's resume click here.
